Signed yesterday. Best of luck to all concerned

For those who don't know and have a spare 16 minutes here's a little doc about it. Its an absolutely mental piece of legislation and seriously needs looking at.

''A convicted rapist has been given three life sentences for murdering a newlywed bride and then kidnapping and raping a second woman.

Matthew Thomas, 43, pleaded guilty to the murder of Colette Magee in Luton in November last year.

Thomas, of Dallow Road, Luton, also admitted two counts of rape, one of indecent assault and one count of kidnap of the second woman.

He was sentenced on Wednesday at Luton Crown Court.

Thomas had been released from custody just two months before murdering Mrs Magee, 44, by stabbing her twice in the chest.

He had previously served nine years of a 16-year sentence for a rape in Hertfordshire.

He had been jailed at Luton Crown Court in February 1994 on charges of rape, indecent assault, robbery and possession of a firearm..''

Oh he sounds like a decent bloke all right.

*Throws away key *

I'm guessing that's not the same bloke. Just a hunch, like.

Re: Fellow Hammer needs support
That just occurred to me too. Fair enough, apologies if so, but we might be told what he's in for if we're being asked to sign up.

If you read the page, it tells you he was given a 3 year sentence for a minor crime. He's served that sentence twice now with no sign of release.

Anyone that was around West Ham or the Gas club in the 90's would know him.

If you don't want to sign that is fine though

Interesting documentary, that. Seems odd that the former parole board bloke is ridiculing his peers yet there's no plans to look at the legislation.

Re: Fellow Hammer needs support
There are plenty of posters on here that know Matthew personally. He IS serving time for a minor offence which he got 3 years for, but to date he has served double that. How is that justice.
I have known him for 30+ years and there are not many people that I would trust more.
Sign the petition if you would like to support a fellow Hammer, but there is no need for shit comments if you don't want to sign.

You know how this site works OB, I expected a few stupid comments, but so long as it picks up a few more signatures that's all that matters

Mart O 3:56 Tue Sep 20
Re: Fellow Hammer needs support
So if you know how this site works, how about telling us what this fucking 'minor crime' for which he was given THREE years is. I couldn't see any details.

I know plenty of people who have done time about which I couldn't give a shit - people fuck up. None of 'em got three years though.

If you don't know Matty, don't sign it, plenty do though. Not difficult is it

Mart O 4:06 Tue Sep 20
Re: Fellow Hammer needs support
What's the fucking mystery, especially if he's so harmless ?

Surely you realise you'd get more support if you were open about it (unless, God forbid, this is a transgression of some 'code') ? The fact that you won't say means I, and I suspect others, most definitely will not sign.

In the light of which, anyone complaining about stupid comments such as mine below can fucking do one.

Re: Fellow Hammer needs support
Its no ones business is it, if people know him they already know and they can sign.

It ain't rape, or murder or noncing, its a minor crime that he's served, whilst in the extended sentence he's lost his mum, his wife and had a heart attack, but don't worry about that eh. You carry on acting like an attention seeker
